IIPF Annual Congress
Held once a year, the IIPF congress promotes academic debate and the exchange of opinions on topics of common interest, and contributes to the worldwide dissemination of the results of scholarly work and of practical experiences.
The IIPF aims at achieving high scholarly standards in both the selection of topics and their debates, focusing on topics of practical relevance and issues of implementation as well as of principle.
With an attendance that ranges from 200 to 400, the congresses are held in a different country every year, at the invitation of members who take responsibility for the local organisation. Congress themes are chosen for their intellectual and topical interest. The annual congress also includes a number of "Open Sessions" where scholars working in the field of Public Finance and Public Economics can present their ongoing work to international colleagues. The scientific preparation of each congress is entrusted to a scientific committee appointed for this purpose.
Submission of a paper is considered as a commitment to attend the Congress, subject to the condition that the paper is accepted by the Scientific Committee. Authors of accepted papers must join the IIPF before inclusion in the Congress program. Payment of the annual membership fee ensures a reduced registration fee. Non-members must pay a submission fee of 20 euros that will be credited against their membership fee when joining the IIPF as a member.
